Boy, were they tasty! The perfect snack for two buddies to alleviate some stress in anticipation of finals week, which turned out not to be so bad. That is to say, we survived! Ha! I actually had ZERO finals, but Spencer had SEVERAL.
But we made it through.
Spencer is leaving this afternoon for home, then to NYC for his grand comedy adventure. I'm really happy and excited for him and can't wait to see him when we head out in about a month!
In the meantime, I'll be kicking it around IC. It's such a great place in the summertime! The civilian population comes out from the woodwork and enjoys the beautiful summer sunshine without the congested foot traffic of the semester. It'll be nice to sit outside Java House and listen to the breeze, the pounding of jackhammers, and the pattering of the feet of tiny pets on the sidewalk without the incessant greetings of passersby.
And, heck, maybe I'll even make my way downtown this afternoon! Last night brought a bit of rain, but the sun poked out for a little bit, so hopefully the sidewalks have dried off by now. From my window, though, the trees are waving quite a bit, which means a wind, which means it might be a front coming through! The local weather says there's a chance of strong storms tomorrow evening, but I hope they hold off until I get back to the apartment from my class!
I'm pretty excited to start my first ever summer class, but also a little nervous. I like to be prepared (as I mentioned about starting my thesis!), so when I went to buy my books yesterday and the bookstore didn't have them in stock yet, I was a little miffed! Oh well, qui sera sera!
Maybe if I get too anxious about school tomorrow, I'll just have to bake myself a little treat. Who has suggestions!? Are you excited for summer, too?

Such scrumptious snacks! Boy, I'm a little jealous I'll be missing the culinary prowess of Nick and Spencer this summer.
ReplyDeleteThis one's not to wild, but I'd love to see the Taste Buddees prepare some peanut butter bars. They're quite the nostalgic snack for me.
This is really impressive stuff, boys.
